PT SMFL Leasing Indonesia (SMFLI) in collaboration with Faculty of Law, Pelita Harapan University (FH UPH) successfully held a financial literacy and inclusion online seminar (webinar) in November 11th 2022, while simultaneously fulfilling its corporate social responsibility.

Background

1. The webinar was held to support the OJK’s program in improving public’s financial literacy and inclusion in Indonesia and to support the implementation of the Indonesian National Strategy for Financial Literacy (revisit of 2017).

2. The webinar was organized to comply with the following Regulation and Circular Letters of the Financial Services Authority (POJK and SEOJK):

a. POJK No. 76/POJK.07/2016 concerning Improvement of Financial Literacy and Inclusion for Consumers and/or the Public;

b. SEOJK No. 30/SEOJK.07/2016 concerning Activities for Improving Financial Literacy in the Financial Services Sector;

c. SEOJK No. 31/SEOJK.07/2016 concerning Activities for Improving Financial Inclusion in the Financial Services Sector.

Objectives

1. To provide students with greater knowledge and understanding by introducing the various products and services of multi-finance companies, enabling them to serve as the academic pillars of society and the generation that will drive the future economy;

2. To inform and build the understanding of students about the products and services of multi-finance companies so that they will be able to differentiate them from other financial services products;

3. To introduce SMFLI, a reputable multi-finance company in Indonesia, thus it will expand student’s knowledge of multi-finance industry and the employment that these sectors provide;

4. As an appreciation for FH UPH and to implement its corporate social responsibility program, the company will also donate goods/equipment in accordance with the needs of the university, as a form of its support for higher education.

SMFLI in collaboration with FH UPH successfully held a Financial Literacy and Inclusion Webinar and Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) event, with theme ‘Knowing Financial Potential & Risk’ in November 11th 2022. A total of 95 students enthusiastically participate in this webinar. In this event, FH UPH’s students were given presentation from various speakers with materials as follows:
